I don’t think I said it well. Personally, I think it’s amazing/cool/great that many different Googlers are contributing on the webmaster help group and catching up with GoogleGuy. It’s much better when lots of people are chiming in. And it’s better still when lots of people other than Googlers are discussing things in the group.

Matt, I didn’t mean to slight GoogleGuy’s efforts at WMW at all, I hope it wasn’t perceived that way. I was speaking more of recent activity.

For the record, GoogleGuy is at 2880 posts, with the last one being over three months ago, for a total of two in 2007.

It’s true; Google provides us with a wealth of data, if we only choose to use it. But it seems like taking the information about what works and what doesn’t - and the whole range of in between - and applying that to improve your own blog is like low hanging fruit.

No, thank you John and your co-workers. It’s been more than a “few posts” it’s been 1837 by my count of ‘official’ posts, answers, and information given by Googlers. By far the greatest concentration available out there that I am aware of.

It takes more than a few posts by us though, the community really thrives because of constant help given by regulars like you, who take the official information and fill in the question-marks that so many webmasters have (and will continue to have).
